The Ninth Life Foundation is set up to rescue and rehome cats whom are high care, aged, abandoned, death row or cats in need of a new home due to a change in circumstances and provide each and every cat with a high level of welfare considerations. We’re a registered charity limited by guarantee and have obtained our Donation Gift Receipt status with ACNC.

It’s a very specific niche that we are focusing on, one that often gets ignored… particularly when we have bumper kitten seasons. The older cat needs special care as they often have health issues. They also need to be rehomed into an environment that will suit their particular traits. We believe in high standards and individual care. The welfare of the cat will always be paramount.

Ninth Life Foundation has a vision to develop an approach that can be replicated in many different locations. At the moment we are taking cats from a variety of places including Blacktown Council pound, Hawkesbury Animal Companion Shelter, Golden Oldies pet rescue and individuals who need our help.

Each cat receives a full health and wellness check with all cats over 7 years old receiving a blood as well to ensure it can be successfully rehomed. Accommodation is currently provided by Divine Creatures luxury cat hotel who have dedicated 6 rooms to the charity. So far in 2021 we have already rehomed over 50 cats!

On the Board of Directors is Jules dos Santos (Chair) who is a qualified Veterinary Nurse of 20 years experience, a former manager of a large emergency hospital and the owner of Divine Creatures luxury cat hotel which has cared for over 6,000 cats over the last 10 years. She has a Level 4 Diploma in Cat Psychology which has allowed her to start Divine Creatures Cat Whispering which assists owners and cats rehabilitate their relationships.

Jules is joined by Dr Yvonne Van Der Veek and John Holland. Yvonne has been an Emergency Veterinarian for 15 years, currently a part time Veterinarian for Small Animal Specialist Hospital. Yvonne assists the charity making informed welfare decisions on the management of cats. John is a former Board Director and President of the Cat Protection Society of NSW and has been an advisor to the Board and CEO of Sydney Dogs and Cats Home. He brings lots of business experience and charity operational know how to the team.

Welfare is our passion, our mission and our purpose.

The governing principle will always be the welfare of the individual cat. This is our passion and our point of difference from many other charities. Each and every cat will receive welfare checks every day with all their welfare needs exceeded daily. We go above and beyond for our rescue cats.

Perspective new homes are screened directly by Jules dos Santos. The right cat is matched to the right home and only homes who meet the cat welfare criteria will be offered an adoption cat.

Adoption cats are offered 15% discount off boarding for the life of the cat as well as Jules’ cat psychology free of charge for the life of the cat. In addition the cat must be returned to Ninth Life Foundation if the adoption does not work out at any time for the life of the cat. It will be a breach of the contract if the cat is rehomed to another family at any time during the life of the cat.

We currently have a number of cats available for adoption. The cost of adoption is $250 per kitten and $215 per adult, which ensures that your new cat is microchipped, flea treated, wormed, up to date with vaccinations and desexed.

Lolita **On Trail**

Lolita is a gorgeous 11 year old sweet mature girl who was surrendered to me by a lovely woman who’s parents both suffered dementia. Her parents had to go into full time care and Lolita found herself looking for her forever home. Lolita is due to have an extensive veterinary evaluation on Friday the 10th however she is predicted to have a clear bill of health.

Watch her videos here and here

Lolita is vaccinated, microchipped, desexed, flea/worm treated and is $215 to adopt.

Oakley

Meet Oakley 💜💜 He has a very sad story and in desperate need of a good loving home. Oakley was emaciated when we first rescued him. Weighing half his body weight, he was extremely dehydrated and was unable to walk. With some Veterinarian care and a lot of TLC therapy Oakley started eating and putting weight on. He is now ready to find his forever home.
Oakley is 1years old, desexed, microchipped, vaccinated, flea and worm treated and is $215 to adopt.
Please contact info@ninthlifefoundation.org if you are interested in adopting Oakley

Basil

Basil is our newest member and my goodness isn’t he gorgeous?? He is 2.5 years old and was on death row at the pound. He was reported to have some behavioral problems, mainly he didn’t like being picked up and would bite however we have not seen this in him at all!

He is an inquisitive guy who enjoys being playful and active! We are confident he would be fine with another cat or dog as long as the introduction was done slowly.

Basil has been vaccinated, microchipped, desexed, wormed and flea treated. He is $215

Laylah

Laylah is a stunning 11 year old Calico who was surrendered to us as their owners were moving and unable to take her with. True to the red in her coat Laylah can give love bites if pushed too far however she can also be incredibly smoochie and affectionate She would be best with no other animals although she will be fine with older children.

Laylah is not available for adoption for another 2 weeks and is yet to have a veterinarian health check which we will update in due coarse.

If you are interested in Laylah please contact us for more information.
