The Ninth Life Foundation is set up to rescue and rehome cats whom are high care, aged, abandoned, death row or cats in need of a new home due to a change in circumstances and provide each and every cat with a high level of welfare considerations. We’re a registered charity limited by guarantee and have obtained our Donation Gift Receipt status with ACNC.
It’s a very specific niche that we are focusing on, one that often gets ignored… particularly when we have bumper kitten seasons. The older cat needs special care as they often have health issues. They also need to be rehomed into an environment that will suit their particular traits. We believe in high standards and individual care. The welfare of the cat will always be paramount.
Ninth Life Foundation has a vision to develop an approach that can be replicated in many different locations. At the moment we are taking cats from a variety of places including Blacktown Council pound, Hawkesbury Animal Companion Shelter, Golden Oldies pet rescue and individuals who need our help.
Each cat receives a full health and wellness check with all cats over 7 years old receiving a blood as well to ensure it can be successfully rehomed. Accommodation is currently provided by Divine Creatures luxury cat hotel who have dedicated 6 rooms to the charity. So far in 2021 we have already rehomed over 50 cats!
On the Board of Directors is Jules dos Santos (Chair) who is a qualified Veterinary Nurse of 20 years experience, a former manager of a large emergency hospital and the owner of Divine Creatures luxury cat hotel which has cared for over 6,000 cats over the last 10 years. She has a Level 4 Diploma in Cat Psychology which has allowed her to start Divine Creatures Cat Whispering which assists owners and cats rehabilitate their relationships.
Jules is joined by Dr Yvonne Van Der Veek and John Holland. Yvonne has been an Emergency Veterinarian for 15 years, currently a part time Veterinarian for Small Animal Specialist Hospital. Yvonne assists the charity making informed welfare decisions on the management of cats. John is a former Board Director and President of the Cat Protection Society of NSW and has been an advisor to the Board and CEO of Sydney Dogs and Cats Home. He brings lots of business experience and charity operational know how to the team.
The governing principle will always be the welfare of the individual cat. This is our passion and our point of difference from many other charities. Each and every cat will receive welfare checks every day with all their welfare needs exceeded daily. We go above and beyond for our rescue cats.
Perspective new homes are screened directly by Jules dos Santos. The right cat is matched to the right home and only homes who meet the cat welfare criteria will be offered an adoption cat.
Adoption cats are offered 15% discount off boarding for the life of the cat as well as Jules’ cat psychology free of charge for the life of the cat. In addition the cat must be returned to Ninth Life Foundation if the adoption does not work out at any time for the life of the cat. It will be a breach of the contract if the cat is rehomed to another family at any time during the life of the cat.
We currently have a number of cats available for adoption. The cost of adoption is $250 per kitten and $215 per adult, which ensures that your new cat is microchipped, flea treated, wormed, up to date with vaccinations and desexed.

Our office cat, the beautiful adventurous Alice!
This gorgeous 6 year old lady is full of curiosity – she absolutely loves walking around the back office to look at everything happening at our busy Willoughby facility! She is definitely a people person and will follow you around, lay at your feet and walk back and forth rubbing herself against you for purrs and head rubs!
Her favourite thing to do is lay on anything soft! She loves her nap time and sleeps for most of the day. She loves big beds and bath mats ❤
However, she is still learning how to accept affection from humans so she would be best suited to a home without small children. Alice was rescued from the pound as she wasn’t coping well and has been with us since February and come a long way. She is a little purr machine and loves being next to someone at all times but will need a single animal environment and patient human ready to take her difficulties on.
Alice is vaccinated, microchipped, de-sexed, wormed and flea treated.

Please email email@example.com today if you are interested in more information on how to have Alice join your family 🙂
These two sweethearts, Ginger and Blackie, suffered the sadness of losing their elderly fur mum earlier this year 😢
Her daughter had been searching for a rescue group to take on this sweet pair for months until she found us 💕
Blackie and Ginger are 15 years old and incredibly sweet in nature. Ginge has mild hyperthyroidism which has been managed well on medication while Blackie is in very good health.
View their video ❤ such smoochers… https://www.instagram.com/p/CeQgzYJJQg-/
Aren’t they adorable ❤ Please email firstname.lastname@example.org if you can adopt this gorgeous pair!
Introducing William and Cleo! A pair of 11-year-old darlings💕
William is a polite black and white boy and his beautiful all-black sister is Cleo.
William and Cleo are both vet checked and healthy, vaccinated, microchipped, and up to date with their protection.
Their owners had to move overseas and sadly couldn’t take them with them 💔😿
Contact us at email@example.com if you can find a place in your home for the cutest brother and sister combo 😻
Yuki is a 10-year-old cuddly white domestic long hair. Strikingly beautiful and very well behaved, he really enjoys snuggling and making biscuits on your shoulder when you hold him! 😍😍😍
He is always rolling over and stretching out his paws for more pats, we just can’t get enough of this cutie!
De-sexed, microchipped, vaccinated and ready to go, he would be best suited to a home with older children, no other pets and a family ready to provide a lot of personal attention!
If Yuki is the kitty you are looking for, email us! firstname.lastname@example.org
Laylah previously returned to Ninth Life Foundation after her prospect of a furever home did not work out due to the new family again not listening to our advice and introducing her to their other cat in the first few days.
This stunning 11-year-old Calico was surrendered originally as her owners were moving (and unable to take her with them). True to the red in her coat Laylah can give love bites if pushed too far however she can also be incredibly smoochie and affectionate. She would be best with no other animals although she will be fine with older children.

Laylah is de-sexed, microchipped, vaccinated, flea and worm treated. She is $215 to adopt.
If you are interested in Laylah please contact us email@example.com for more information.
Do you all remember MUMMA POPPY and her kitten NORBERT? (Look how big he is now!)
Poppy was one of our previous NLF cats who gave birth at Divine Creatures. We were so lucky to be a part of her pregnancy! She had 8 bubbas at only one year old herself- WOW!
Recently, we had an urgent appeal for help as Poppy’s new owner (in a wheelchair) had to sadly surrender all four of his cats </3
Norbert has been with his mum since birth so they are looking for a home that will be able to take both of them❤ They are both so cheeky and well paired together.
Poppy enjoys head scratches and cuddles in bed, rolling over so much she falls out wanting more! In saying that she can get a little overstimulated and then prefer some alone time. On the other hand, Norbert is constantly rubbing himself against everything and purring. He’ll come out as soon as he hears people nearby and will ALWAYS try to steal Poppy’s cuddles – a part of mum life, she is definitely ok to sacrifice them for her baby!
They have no issues and are both healthy and absolutely love their food. They would be fine with other cats and children as they merged quite well into a home with two other cats when staying with their previous new owner.
Poppy: 2-year-old grey & white DSH. Female, Microchipped, De-sexed
Norbert: 1-year-old grey DSH. Male, Microchipped, De-sexed, vaccinated.
Email firstname.lastname@example.org to enquire about this pair 😀
Cutest little pair. These two arrived at Divine Creatures with Poppy & Norbert – all four were living together harmoniously! (You can adopt one of the pairs or all four if you can accommodate!) 🙂
Very cheeky and full of adventurous tendencies, Marmalade is a confident little girl and loves to come and sit on your lap and rub her face into you. Reign is still very shy but so gentle! He takes time to warm up to you but he loves his sister Marmalade and they are always cuddling up together and taking naps. With a lot of TLC they’ll be a wonderful and sweet addition to any home 🙂
They have no issues and are both healthy, fine with other cats and children!
Reign: 1-year-old Grey DSH, Male, Microchipped, De-sexed
Marmalade: 2-year-old Ginger and White DSH, Female, Microchipped, De-sexed, vaccinated
